Privacy Policy & GDPR

This Privacy Policy explains how Loadster collects and use your personal information, the steps we take to keep it secure, and what your options are to review and control the information we have about you. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the Loadster websites and Loadster applications.

Our policies are informed by international and national legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect in the European Union from May 25th, 2018. Loadster values your privacy and intends to comply with the letter and spirit of the GDPR.

In this Privacy Policy, "we", "our", and "us" are references to Loadster, Inc.

The Privacy Policy sets forth:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you, how we use it, and with whom it may be shared
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information

Information Collection

Personal information that we collect from you directly may include your name, email address, physical address, and company name. We may also collect and store information that you enter into a web form when making a purchase. If you enter personal information into a Loadster script or dataset, we may store that as well. By giving us personal information, you consent to our having that information. Only give us personal information that you want us to have.

Information that we may collect automatically includes your IP address, access times, browser type and locale, your computer's operating system, referring website (if any) and your activity on our websites and in our desktop applications.

Our sites may use cookies to uniquely identify your browser, for purposes such as helping you log in faster (or stay logged in), improving your navigation through the site, remembering your preferences and settings, analyzing usage patterns to see how our products perform, and for advertising purposes. If you do not want to accept cookies, please refer to your browser's technical information for instructions on how to delete and disable them. Some site features may not work properly with cookies disabled.

If you install the Loadster Recorder browser extension, it can inspect your browser usage and transmit it to the Loadster website for the purpose of recording test scripts. Loadster does not use or store your browsing history for any other purpose. The browser extension is open source, and you are welcome to review the source code to learn about how it works. You can disable or remove the browser extension when you do not wish to record your browser usage or create scripts.

Information Use & Sharing

We may use your name and email address to contact you for reasons such as providing product support, letting you know about product updates, or informing you of changes to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.

If you have opted in to marketing communications, you may receive these. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails.

We will not share your information with any third party, except as necessary to maintain communication and to provide services and improve our products. Examples of third parties we rely on to provide services may include email service providers, payment processors, or cloud hosting providers. We may also use website analytics tools to better understand site usage patterns and deliver a better user experience.

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Databases & Information Storage

Loadster's databases are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The AWS Service Terms ensure compliance with the GDPR's cross-border data transfer requirements through the incorporation of a Data Protection Agreement. The AWS Data Protection Agreement provides appropriate safeguards to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data through administrative, organizational, and technical controls. Your Access to and Control Over Information

We have designated a Data Protection Officer and Privacy Officer, who can be reached at privacy@loadster.app.

Please email us at any time if you would like to:

  • Opt out of future communications from us.
  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Request a copy of any data we have about you.
  • Change or correct any data we have about you.
  • Delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We care about the security of your information, and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorized access or disclosure. Our websites require HTTPS, which you can verify by looking for "https://" at the beginning of the URL. Within our company, we take steps to restrict access to personal data to as few people as possible. Our hosting partner, Amazon Web Services, provides security reports on their website.

The Loadster website requires a username and password to access your account and personal information. You are responsible for choosing a strong password and keeping it secret. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of any email accounts you use to communicate with us. We take steps to help you keep your account information secure, but we cannot ensure or warrant the security of information that you transmit to or receive from us, or guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

We are not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

Our Privacy Policy was last updated on October 28, 2024. It may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
